About
Engineer, builder, and reluctant fixer of slow websites.
I’m Lloan Alas, a senior frontend engineer with more than ten years spent on large web platforms. Most of my work sits where design decisions meet real traffic: component architecture, performance, accessibility, and the publishing systems content teams use every day.
I like legacy systems. Not because they’re pleasant, but because modernizing one well — without stopping the business — is the most useful thing a frontend engineer can do.
What I do.
Frontend architecture
Component systems, content models, and build pipelines that stay understandable as teams and traffic grow.
Performance engineering
Core Web Vitals work grounded in field data: budgets, caching strategy, and the boring fixes that actually move numbers.
WordPress at scale
Multi-site networks, headless setups, and editor experiences that stay fast with hundreds of contributors.
