This is a WordPress application built to house multiple publications which include ArcNews, ArcWatch, ArcUser, WhereNext, Esri Blog, and Esri Podcast. This is a single WordPress installation with various different post types. The repository is private.
Several hundred authors use this system and many thousands more visit the site to review ArcGIS information. About 30-40% of the time spent working on this application deals with maintenance, and 5-10% is spent making sure any server issues are addressed and communicated to the team that implements changes for production. The rest of the time is spent on feature implementation based on stakeholder requests to improve their content creation process.
